The new sequenceupdate branch delivers string traits. With this it is fairly
easy to reimplement (w)string_var/_out as templates reducing code duplication
and making things more exception safe using swap. Adding this as a public todo
item, want to handle this in sequenceupdate branch.

accept, implemented in the sequenceupdate branch already ;-). Will be publicly
available in x.5.2
